heavy arts / news / events

Heavy Arts is the resident youth production company at The Base Studios. Established in January 2007, Heavy Arts has been providing students with the opportunity to work with professional artists to create full-scale youth musical productions for the past 5 years.

Through sharing our own professional experiences and working practice we aim to inspire, motivate and offer a more valuable experience for our students. The standard of training we provide is of the highest level and our productions are top quality.

Heavy Arts' focus is on providing skills which increase and enhance our students' performance ability, something which is invaluable for our profession.

Students are encouraged to believe in themselves and to push their ability to the max. Ex-students from Heavy Arts have gone on to access further training at vocational colleges across the country including Arts Education School, London Studio Centre, Doreen Bird, London College of Music, Oxford School of Speech and Drama, and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
